

In the morning, you will awake to the aroma of a delicious Burn View breakfast and home-made bread.
Breakfast at Burn View is a leisurely affair, cooked by Andy and freshly made from locally-sourced products whenever possible. Our dining room has a beautiful view over the Derwent Valley and Gibside Estate and is bathed in morning light on fine mornings. Visitors can often enjoy the sight of magnificent Red Kites providing a wonderful display of low flight outside our dining room window. Alternately, you can eat in our conservatory and enjoy watching the birds soaring over our roof and garden.
Breakfast is served between 7.30am and 9am (8.30am until 10.30am on Sunday).
Our menu offers full English breakfast or a healthy range of cold products. ‘Specials’ and Vegetarian Options are available.
We also offer a choice of milk and butter/spread products. We are particularly proud of our free range eggs which come from genuinely ‘free range’ hens who have a happy life and are known by name. The eggs are beautiful both to look at (some are a rich mottled brown others a delicate pale blue colour!) and to eat.
Afterwards, you can enjoy reading your paper in our conservatory or our family lounge before setting off to explore the delights of the North-East.
Please note, we do use nuts in our kitchen.
