House layout
The house is on two levels, ground and first floor. There are 2 steps to a turn in the stairs and then 13 steps to the first floor. There is a handrail on the right. The Derwent room is upstairs. The doors open to a landing and there is one step down into the room.
The ground floor is level throughout.
There is parking available immediately outside the house.
We welcome assistance dogs and are happy to exercise and feed them on request.
We have cats who are not allowed into guest rooms but may sometimes sneak into the downstairs rooms. We have a dovecote in the garden so if you object to being woke by gentle cooing Burn View is not for you.
Bedroom
Menu, guest welcome information and safety information are available in large print on request.
Cordless kettles are provided.
Guests are provided with a front door key and a bedroom key.
The bedroom has a main ceiling light, controllable from the door. There is also a light above the bed controlled from a pull switch above the bed and a bedside light. A torch is provided in the bedside cabinet drawer.
The bedroom is supplied with a well stocked beverage tray including a decanter of sherry. If you wish for any of this to be removed please let us know.
Duvets and pillows have synthetic filling for people with allergies
Bathroom
The en suite bathroom has a touch light with a range of lighting and a lit mirror.
A shaving point is located to the right of the mirror
General
Virgin can be accessed from within the house. O2 can be variable. If you need to make a call please ask
A cordless telephone handset can be made available for guest use on request
People with nut allergies should be aware we do use nuts in the kitchen
We are non-smoking throughout
